The Hansebelt is a region like no other.
The Hansebelt lies here in the north, between Hamburg and Copenhagen. With the Hanseatic city of Lübeck at its heart, it is not only the natural gateway to the growth markets in the Baltic Sea region, but, as part of the Hamburg metropolitan region, also offers excellent access to global markets.

Voices from the Hansebelt
My name is Sören Winko, I’m 28 years old, a customer adviser at Sparkasse zu Lübeck, and a windsurfer and kitesurfer. What particularly appeals to me about the Hansebelt region is its strong economic base and the strong winds. Both help me to progress, both professionally and personally. The region is diverse and varied. As an adviser at Sparkasse zu Lübeck, it constantly presents me with new and interesting challenges, just as the conditions on the Baltic Sea do in my spare time.

The Hansebelt is my home – I don’t just live here, I live my life here. Although I lived in Braunschweig for several years at one point, I felt an ever-stronger inner urge to return. I need to be close to the water, the fresh breeze, the blustery days and that North German sense of serenity. The proximity to Denmark is also simply unique, which is why I would always support combining the Scandinavian way of life with the North German one.
