The more than 160 member companies of HanseBelt e.V. are a source of ideas and inspiration for a progressive and liveable region. The Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Lübeck and Schwerin, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce support this regional business network. Together with partners from the worlds of business and academia, the members aim to promote economic development, growth and employment in this vibrant living and business environment. Since 2008, they have been launching projects, networking and pooling expertise, and cooperating in various areas to offer skilled workers and the workforce not only excellent career prospects but also a high quality of life.

Inspired by our Scandinavian neighbours and in close partnership with them, we aim to establish the Hansebelt as a key European corridor for the future – ideally situated between Hamburg and Copenhagen, with direct access to the Baltic Sea region and exceptional conditions in the fields of research and education, corporate culture and quality of life.
The prospects for this are better than ever: the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link and the accelerated transport routes are bringing two of Europe’s most attractive cities – Hamburg and Copenhagen – closer together and making the Hansebelt even more attractive to talent, innovators and investors. We, the businesses of the Hansebelt region, also want to set a completely new standard: with a modern corporate culture that combines Hanseatic and Scandinavian ways of thinking and enables the people working here to achieve the perfect balance between a fulfilling career and a happy life.
